Handrail dropped from height

Description:
Two technicians were removing a flow meter on the cooling tower, during the removal a technician located on the lower platform was in a kneeling position and while standing up, placed some of his weight with his hand on the railing to support himself. It was at this point the fibre glass lower handrail had come away from the handrail fitting connector dropping 8 meters to the ground. No injuries were sustained or workers in the vicinity at the time of the incident.
