The StayLive Industry Induction is your gateway to working safely and confidently across New Zealand’s energy sector. It represents a unified approach to health and safety, developed collaboratively by all StayLive member asset owners.
What is it?
This induction is a shared eLearning module that outlines our common health and safety values, expectations, and responsibilities for anyone visiting or working on our sites. It replaces the need to complete multiple asset owner inductions, making it easier, faster, and more consistent for contractors and workers.

Why is this a game-changer?
- Time-Saving: No more repeating similar inductions for each asset owner.
- Consistency: Everyone receives the same safety message, reducing confusion and improving compliance.
- Recognition Across the Industry: As long as your induction is current (within the two-year refresher period), it’s accepted by all asset owners.
Key Details
- Delivery: Hosted in each asset owner’s Learning Management System (LMS).
- Validity: Must be refreshed every two years.
- Replaces: The former EAC (Entry Approval Competency), which has been retired.
- Additional Requirements: Some asset owners may still have site-specific access needs.
How to Access & Provide Proof
- Access: Contact the asset owner of the generation site you will be working at.
