Adaptive Cruise Control Speeding Up

Date of Incident: 17 May 2018
Description:

When following a vehicle and using adaptive cruise control in the Mistubishi Outlander, the front camera will adjust your speed to the speed of the vehicle in front of you i.e. slow you down, however, if the car in front turns a corner and is no longer in view of the camera the vehicle you are in will suddenly speed up to go back to the original setting.  This could be as you enter a sharp corner and unexpected lift in speed could be dangerous.
